Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ, is known for its gorgeous cherry blossoms. Some say the park has more cherry trees than Washington, DC. Others say it comes very close.
First Trip to This Park
Whatever the case, I’m so glad I visited this gorgeous park recently. What’s crazy is that although I live nearby, this was the first time I made the trip.
I saw many gorgeous cherry blossoms–and took hundreds of photographs. Many were pink, quite a few were white and some were red (still hadn’t peaked).
At this point, you’ve probably seen hundreds of cherry blossom photos. It is spring, after all. So…I thought I’d present to you a black and white photo. Why not, right? This was a tree with white blossoms on it. I liked the contrast and I found the photo to be trippy.

Your Thoughts/Reactions?
Are you a fan of cherry blossoms? Do you go out of your way to visit parks that have them? Which parks do you visit?
What do you think of b/w photos of subjects that tend to be colorful?
In this case, I took a b/w shot of a tree with white flowers. However, I also took many b/w photos of the pink and red trees, as well. Do you tend to stick with color if the object is colorful? Why/why not?
