The Wall of Saints,’ found in Todos Santos, Baja Sur, reflects the creativity that’s found throughout this magical town, known for its many art galleries and creative atmosphere. A community ‘paint-out’ led to these and other paintings done by children and local artists on the wall, located on Topete Street.

Frenchman’s Bay, in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, was a real treat for me. It is gorgeous to look at for one thing, and it’s known for being the best ‘swimming beach’ of those in the area. I must say that I agree–even thought the photo I’m sharing is of the waves crashing. In reality, it was…

This red-topped cactus I spotted in Billy’s Bay, Treasure Beach, Jamaica, was one of many I came across. On this particular day, I’d gone for a walk–in the opposite direction of the other bays in the area, where one finds a handful of restaurants, guesthouses, etc. I was already pretty far of the beaten path,…

I took this photo of a Jamaican goat because it was spotted and thus, different than most I’d seen in Billy’s Bay, Treasure Beach. I loved the colors, the brown and white, and thought he/she was adorable, which is why I’m sharing the picture here. I tried to make the typical goat sound–the ‘maa-maa’–but he/she…

“You’ve got to try the fish tacos in Todos Santos,” a friend of mine told me. “They’re incredible!” I decided to take her advice and sure enough, she was right. When I arrived in the town, I asked some of the locals where to go. They all seemed to point at the same stand right…

When I first saw a man riding on a stand up paddle board with two dogs, I did a double-take. What the heck?? Was I seeing things? First of all, I knew that being on one of these boards wasn’t exactly easy. I tried it and sort of fell a few times; it took several…

This photo, of a porcupine fish (often mistaken for a blowfish or puffer fish), was taken in Baja, at the Sea of Cortez–at Tecolote Beach, not far from La Paz. I was relaxing under a palapa when there was a bit of commotion near the water. I thought someone had spotted a sting ray, but…

Just took this photo of a cute little Chihuahua a couple of hours ago here in Todo Santos in Baja California, Mexico. I just had to stop and say hello–that’s how cute he/she was! Deer or Apple Head? Chihuahuas have one of two types of heads. This one has a ‘deer head’ (not an apple…
